Youth for Social Justice: Joint workshop with students and unaccompanied minors

01 March 2026

On the occasion of World Social Justice Day, we organized in Bihać an awareness-raising activity in cooperation with Richmond Park School, bringing together school students from the local community and unaccompanied children (UASC), from the migrant population. The workshop created a safe space for encounter, dialogue and mutual learning among young people from different life experiences.

Through discussions on the meaning of World Social Justice Day, participants explored the concept of social justice in the context of people on the move. Through group discussions and interactive activities, young people had the opportunity to exchange perspectives, gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by displaced persons, and reflect on the importance of solidarity, respect and inclusion.

A particular value of this activity was the opportunity to build bridges of understanding between young people from the local community and unaccompanied minors. We are especially encouraged that, following the workshop, students expressed interest in volunteering, showing their willingness to contribute to a more just and inclusive society.

Through activities such as this, we continue to strengthen the connection between the local community and people on the move, creating spaces where dignity, mutual understanding and solidarity are promoted.
