Learning and growing together: International Day of Education

The International Day of Education was marked in Bihać through a series of activities aimed at promoting learning, connection, and shared experiences among children and youth.

The event began at the Catholic School Center “Ivan Pavao II” in Bihać with an activity focused on raising awareness about the importance of education and its role in the lives of young people. This was followed by a shared lunch, which provided participants with an opportunity to get to know one another better and spend time together in a friendly atmosphere.

In the afternoon, a film screening and creative activities were organized, offering children and young people space for social interaction, enjoyment, and shared learning. The day concluded with an evening gathering featuring a barbecue and music, strengthening a sense of togetherness, inclusion, and positive energy.

The activities were attended by beneficiaries from the JRS reception center in Sarajevo, the Ipsia reception center in Bihać, children from the Temporary Reception Center Lipa, students of the Catholic School Center, and children from the local art school “List”.

This day provided children and young people with an opportunity for social interaction, dialogue, and the exchange of ideas. The event contributed to a sense of inclusion, acceptance, and mutual connection, strengthening feelings of belonging and togetherness within the local community.
